Violence against women
Protection orders, shelters and first steps for women facing violence in relationships and families in Romania.
Human rights and European affairs
Author of The Rights You Carry and human rights advocate, based in Craiova, Romania.
I explain what the law already promises you, and what to do when that promise is not kept: a protection order, a contract that matches the hours you really work, a case in Strasbourg.

About
Around me I kept seeing the same things: domestic violence and femicide, children harmed by the adults meant to protect them, workers registered for four hours on paper while working eight. I also know from my own experience what it means to have your rights ignored at work. What struck me every time was not that the law was missing. It was that nobody had told these people the law was on their side.
I studied physical therapy and special motricity at the University of Craiova. Working with patients taught me how quickly dignity can be lost, and how much it matters who stands next to you when it is. I am certified in diplomatic protocol and strategic leadership by the US Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights, and I continue to train in European fundamental rights.
The Rights You Carry is my answer: a book to keep at home and open on the day someone tells you no. It is the first in a series, and the next volume is about women's rights.

A Complete Guide to Human Rights for Everyone
Most people learn about their rights at the worst possible moment. This book explains, in plain language and through true stories, what each right protects, where its limits lie, and exactly what to do when it is denied. From a prisoner's pencilled petition to the US Supreme Court to a group of Swiss grandmothers who won a climate case in Strasbourg, it shows that ordinary people change the law.
Available now on Amazon as an ebook and paperback.
